Hair fall is a common problem during monsoon.  I literally shed hair like a crazy during every rainy season. And then I would start looking out for solutions. I try not to leave any stone unturned and use almost every thing that comes to my mind to control my hair fall. I like to use my custom made hair oil which includes all the potent oils such as castor, almond, jojoba etc along with some essential oils like tea tree & lavender.

This season, I did not use this hair oil, rather I kept on using Bhringraj powder hair pack , hair oil from Bliss Of Earth and an Anti Hair Loss Shampoo from Sebamed. In this post, I am going to speak about Sebamed Anti Hair Loss Shampoo. I was using mainly these 3 things, that brought back my peace of mind.

This Anti Hair Loss shampoo is infused with NHE formula, Caffeine & Ginkgo Biloba. The powerful ingredient blend increases blood circulation which stimulates hair growth. The shampoo is soap & alkali free. It maintains the pH level of scalp which protects scalp from fungal infections. It helps to reduce hair loss by activating scalp functions. The shampoo could be used for all hair types.

Packaging

The shampoo is comes in an opaque white bottle with a flip top cap. All the detailing about the product is given on the bottle. Even though the packaging is sturdy & leak proof, a 200ml product is not really someone would want to travel with.

Fragrance & Texture

Every product I have ever used form Sebamed smells awesome. I am really smitten by the fragrance of this shampoo too. It’s refreshing & mild. It does not irritate my sensitive nose.

The shampoo is like a clear gel which lathers well when mixed with water. It is really easy to pour out the product from the bottle & use.

How To Use

This shampoo could be used for daily hair care. Wet your hair, work a small quantity of shampoo into a lather in the palms of your hands. Leave the shampoo no your scalp for 2 minutes for the active ingredients to work upon your hair condition. Wash the hair massaging the scalp gently.

My Experience

As I explained above, I was desperate to try something for my falling hair. That’s when I received Sebamed Anti Hair Loss shampoo. I started using it every alternate day on my scalp. I used it in small amounts since, I received 2 samples of 20ml each. Hence I had to decide if the product is effective enough to make a purchase.

I liked the fuss free consistency & the smell of course. I feel this is quite a mild shampoo and not like those strong shampoos that are used for hair loss or hair fall. In case I have oiled my hair prior to shampoo, I use some other shampoo first to get rid of the oil and then use a small quantity of Sebamed anti hair loss shampoo. I try to apply it only on my scalp and that too for few minutes before rinsing it off.

After shampoo my scalp feels really clean. The shampoo really helped me get rid of the scalp itchiness which I usually develop during monsoon. It is not drying but also not really moisturizing, hence must use a conditioner afterwards.

My hair fall has decreased by now. I would say, a combination of this Sebamed shampoo with Bliss of Earth Hair Oil has been working very well for me. I am able to see few new hair on my front hairline, for which I would like to give benefit of doubt to this shampoo.

Sebamed Anti Hair Loss Shampoo Side Effects

As such I did not face any major issues while using this shampoo. So far no side effects noticed.

1. The shampoo contains SLES, it might dry out hair in long run.
2. Sebamed Anti Hair Loss Shampoo lathers very low and this way you tend to use a lot of product which makes you shelling out more money.

Will I repurchase this shampoo?

I have already ordered the shampoo. The reason is simple, I really want to reverse the hair loss I have suffered due to excessive hair fall. The way the shampoo is working, I feel I would surely be able to regrow my hair back.

Summary

Sebamed Anti Hair Loss Shampoo is a treatment for hair loss. The shampoo increases blood circulation which stimulates new hair growth. It is gentle and effective in maintaining scalp health. Hence, it works as an effective anti hair loss shampoo if used consistently for few months. It does not dry out hair, but I need to use a conditioner post shampoo on my dry hair. The price is bit steep & it is not SLES free. But I know how desperate I get when I am on the verge of loosing my precious hair. I really can go to any measures.
