India Runway Week Season 11 Summer Edition 2019 : Day 1 Highlights

India Runway Week brings freshness twice every year – Summer & Winter collections. This youngest fashion week is among the top three platforms of India to present young talent on the global stage. India’s young, emerging and talented fashion designers take part in this fashion week. I witnessed India Runway Week Season 11 Summer Edition 2019 that was live from April 29th to the 31st of the month. The fashion took place at none other  than my favorite DLF Place, Saket, New Delhi. Day 1 started with Rina Dhaka’s bridal wear and concluded with Amit Talwar’s Pastel Collection. Stay with me for a classy and glamorous show of talent.

The excitement in the air could be felt as the show started with the marvelous designs of the veteran designer Rina Dhaka. The shades of summer were very prominent in her designs. I loved the freshness mixed with tradition in her collection. IRW was the first to witness her latest bridal collection. I felt overjoyed.

India Runway Week aims to bring out the young talent. It gives chance to young designers who are willing to make it big in the fashion industry. Alka Gilada presented her bridal collection  IRW 2019. The collection had a royal feel to it with her personal style.

Javik Nari

Fashion Director of India Runway Week, Kiran Kher, curated  unique show as Jaivik Nari. Big FM Radio Jocky walked on the ramp for Javik Nari. This idea was quite fresh and has a raw appeal to it. A show dedicated to ‘Make In India, For India‘. A treat to watch.

James Ferriera

I personally like the vibrancy that James Ferriera offers in his collection. He touches young hearts. At India Runway Week Seaosn 11, his collection had the same theme & same vibrancy with a freshness of the sea.

Her collection had the same fierceness and beauty as a revolutionary goddess would have. She also made Acid Victim Laxmi Agarwal to walk the ramp for her which complemented Laxmishirali’s collection.

It was so hard to believe an innocent looking girl could be so impressive with her creativity, passion and hard work. She really is going to make a big name in the fashion industry. Her style consisted of shimmer, shine, glitter and gold.

And then came the final rose in the bouquet with Amit Talwar’s pastel collection was was inspired by the Victorian Era. The stage setup, the presentation and the designs mesmerized us all. I loved the flares, the layers and floral designs. The show was spectacular and truly concluded the Day 1.

What a great start of a fresh and young fashion trade. India Runway Week Season 11 Summer Edition Day 1, truly left us wanting for more. I would love to be a part of the future seasons of IRW. I just cannot afford to miss all the talent and creativity that our Indian designers have to offer.

Hope you too loved the deigns and appreciate the work of the designers as well as the organizers at India Runway Week. See you super soon in my next post.
