Fab Bag August 2018 – Own The Glam | Unboxing | Review

Hey Girls,

I am back with the un-boxing cum review of our very own beloved Fab Bag. Fab Bag August 2018 is themed as Own The Glam. So eventually we expect some glam and fab products inside the bag. I have noticed there is a pattern in the type of products that Fab Bag sends into every month. One month the products are really drool-worthy while the other month, you the products are average. If you remember, I really adored Fab Bag July 2018 but how did the August subscription do?

I can’t stop raving about August Euphorbia Box and maybe that’s why Fab Bag did not impress me that much this time. But I am not being irrational. Fab Bag has been my cult favorite. It was the first-ever beauty bag that I bought during my initial years of makeup addiction. It has really set its standards very high and even though there are more such subscription boxes in the market, it should only aim for high quality. But the pattern. Yes, the pattern does exist, and let me prove that to you.

Fab Bag August 2018 – Own The Glam

Fab Bag August 2018 can be booked on their website FabBag.com. This month’s bag contains 4 products. There are one makeup product and 3 beauty products. You get to choose your makeup product out of SUGAR lipsticks, liners & palettes. Sounds good? Let’s see.

I may be wrong but I generally link the word ‘glam’ with makeup especially glitter and gloss. I expected there would be mostly makeup. This month, I received only 4 products out of which 1 makeup was up to my choice. Here comes the catch, I could choose only one makeup product out of all the beautiful things that I wanted- SUGAR. There were Sugar lipsticks, BB Cream, Liners and eye shadow palettes to choose from. I chose Sugar Matte As Hell Lipstick, as I am a big fan of this range.

It was hard though to choose and took me many minutes to make my choice. The rest of the products are very basic. Out of which I have already used 2 products. So I hope you understand why is this month’s bag is average.

SUGAR Matte As Hell Baby Houseman Crayon Lipstick is a deep pink shade that might look a bit of plum on lips. The lipstick range is already famous for its a creamy texture, high color pay off and long-lasting stay. I have already used  Scarlett O’Hara , Viola, and a few more and still want more.

Mond’s Sub Skin Beauty Collagen Nose Mask

Mond’ Sub Nose Collagen Mask

Honestly, I don’t have nice experience with Mond’s Sub face masks. I have used 3D mask from Mond’s Sub and it broke out my skin which took many weeks to heal completely. I have a few more collagen masks from lying in my closet unused because I don’t want to break my skin again.

A nose collagen mask is supposed to deep clean nose pores removing blackheads. There is no much information provided on the pack, but I would like to try out this nose mask since at least my nose does not get pimples.

Bio Bloom Face Moisturizer

I have a lot of Bio Bloom products lying in my closet. But, I just cannot make my mind to use them because the ingredients always make me susceptible. I have used Bio Bloom shampoo but it did not agree with my hair texture. Also, I have already tried this Bio Bloom Face Moisturizer containing Vanilla, Cucumber & Jojoba Oil. I feel this is suitable for dry to normal skin type but is not suitable for my oily and acne-prone skin. So, I am going to pass this.

Fuschia Activated Charcoal Face & Body Detoxifying Scrub

I have used and reviewed this face & body scrub already on the blog. Fuschia is a reliable brand and I have used a few products from the same brand. This scrub is also good. Gives a nice clean feeling without drying out the skin. Activated Charcoal really deep cleanses the skin.

Overall, Fab Bag August 2018 is an average bag for me. I did not find any exciting product in my bag.  Sugar Matte As Hell Lipstick and Fuschia Activated Charcoal Face & Body Scrub kind of saved the face, but the other two products are definitely not what I was expecting. Own the glam failed for me.

Much Love,

Nisha ♥

The Mond’ Sub Nose Collagen Mask definitely looks very interesting. Never seen a blackhead removing mask that looks like that.
