Nykaa PaintStix – 03 No Chill Orange, 04 Peaches n Cream

As promised, I am back with the review of my newly acquired Nykaa PaintStix. I took so long to buy these, because, whenever I went to order these paintstix, I always got confused with the shades. Somehow I managed to make up my mind about the shades. I got 03 No Chill Orange & 04 Peaches n Cream. One is very loud while the other one is very sober.

Firstly I love the simplest title that Nykaa has given to these lipsticks, PaintStix. No long names. I really hate long name, they are so difficult to remember. What else do I love about these lipsticks? You will know very shortly. Stick with me.

About Nykaa PaintStix

Nykaa claims that this is a super rich formula giving intense color to your lips. One swipe is enough to produce the desired color on lips. Nykaa presents a range of bold colors with Nykaa PaintStix. The formula is creamy & infused with Vitamin E hence provides nourishment to your lips while giving a  long wearing soft matte finish.

Nykaa Paintstix Packaging

The lipsticks come in an attractive, pink & red ombre cardbox. On the front side of the cardbox, Nykaa Paintstix is printed, while at the back, some lines about the lipsticks, are written. Ingredient list shade no & name are also mentioned on the pack. Inside you find a lipstick fitted inside black matte packaging and colored cap on the top. Nykaa Paintstix is also imprinted on the cap of the lipstick, while shade no is printed at the bottom of the lipstick.

The packaging is sturdy & travel friendly, no doubt.

Nykaa released 12 shades in PaintStix range. Ranging from Pinks to Reds & Nude to Bold.

Shade 03 No Chill Orange

As the name of the shade suggests it’s a beautiful & bright Orange shade. Oranges & Pinks are going to be the color of the year 2017. Since it’s been a long time, that I bought an orange shade, I bought one from this range. I am pretty happy with the shade.

The shade goes pretty beautiful on my wheatish skin tone. Does not wash me out rather makes my face look brighter. This is a very wearable Orange shade.

Shade 04 Peaches n Cream

Honestly, I was expecting it more of a Peach but it turned out to be a brownish peach shade, with more of browns in it. It is kind of a muted shade but I am in awe with this shade. The shade is very wearable, be it day or night. This is going to suit all skin tones, no doubt.

Taste, Texture & Fragrance

The lipsticks are free from any weird taste but have very faint sweet smell to them. The smell is not overpowering and you smell it only when you want to.

Texture of these lipsticks is very creamy. Goes very smooth on lips. Being creamy in texture, the lipsticks, does not dry out lips.

Nykaa Paintstix Pigmentation

You need just one swipe of a Nykaa PaintStix & I get full color. I do not need another swipe. The lipsticks are insanly pigmented & rich in color.

Finish

The finish of the lipsticks, as Nykaa states, is soft matte or I would say, semi matte. They do not go completely matte on my lips, even if I am not wearing a lip balm beneath. But the lipsticks are not utterly glossy. The sheen is manageable. I mostly blot away the glossiness to get complete matte lips.

Longevity

The lipsticks transfers little bit, since they are creamy in nature. Usually stays for 3-4 hours on my lips. But if I blot & reapply the lipsticks, they stay for 5-6 hours.

Nykka PaintStix are affordable, creamy & pigmented lipsticks. I like the finish they provide. I like the color selection Nykaa offers in this range. Nykaa has tried to come up with shades that will suit Indian Skin Tone, which is a nice thing.
