Our beloved Anamika of WiseShe is about to launch Oval Makeup Brushes. This veteran beauty & makeup blogger who simultaneously runs weight loss , fashion & baby blogs too, is planning to pour all her knowledge & experience to curate beautiful products for us. Now this is going to be really awesome for all of us who loves her product reviews & makeup looks.

What Are Oval Makeup Brushes?

Oval makeup brushes are the newest trend in makeup tools. These are designed to give you an ease to do your makeup effortlessly and flawlessly. As compared to the standard Makeup Brushes, Oval Brushes offers more control over application & blending. If you never liked using makeup brushes, you would surely love oval brushes for their comfort.

How To Use Oval Makeup Brushes?

It’s very simple. Pour some foundation/base makeup on the back of you hand, dab the brush into the makeup and with long strokes apply it over your face. Build on the coverage if required.

Few weeks back I received 4 oval brushes from Anamika with a very cute note. These brushes are yet to be launched in market. She is leaving no stone un-turned to curate quality product. For this, she is sending these brushes to beauty & makeup bloggers who can give her an honest review of her first product. So in case there is a scope she could improve.  So please allow me to take you on a virtual journey of these beautiful oval brushes from Anamika.

Packaging & Price

Wiseshe oval brushes come in a black sleek packaging. The handle of the brushes give nice grip because of the curvy design. The dense bristles of the brushes are in a brown-golden gradient giving a nice hue. Looks very classy & beautiful.

I am amazed over the quality of the bristles and the product overall. The bristles have not shed even a single hair so far while I have washed them over 10 times. The handle itself is of sturdy quality & nice finish. There is no roughness on the edges. The brushes have been crafted with taste as we can expect from Anamika.

Since there is no logo over the brushes, I am guessing this is not the final packaging of the brushes… err… I would like to have these in rose gold Anamika (if you read this 🙂 )

WiseShe Oval Brush 1 – Foundation/Powder Oval Brush

This is quite a large head brush with long & dense bristles (so dense that I can’t see the roots). This brush could be used to apply foundation, BB/CC cream, or any base makeup for that matter. I have tried applying compact powder with this brush and it does it’s job beautifully. It is a nice multi purpose brush. The dense & soft bristles give a nice blending.

WiseShe Oval Brush 2 – Foundation/Concealer/Corrector/EyeShadow Oval Brush

There is no hard and fast rule how you use an oval brush. It’s totally upto you how you think it fits your requirement. The head of the no 2 brush that I received from Anamika, is as small as a toothbrush. I think it can reach those areas where the larger brush cannot reach. For example, I have tried using it under my eyes, over my eyes & nose. You can use it for concealing purpose or simply to apply foundation on small portions of your face. This brush can also be used to apply eye shadow over lids.

This brush is small enough to apply highlighter/bronzer & contouring purpose.

WiseShe Oval Brush 3 – Spot Corrector/ Crease Definer Oval Brush

This is a round and very small brush. Honestly, it serves very specific purpose of concealing a spot or applying highlighter under your brow bone or something that requires quite a small brush. It can be used to create crease while doing eye makeup. Also it can b used to apply highlighter to small places like your cupid bone.

I would like to mention among all the 4 brushes, this brush is bit harsh specially if you decide to apply eyeshadow with it. The harshness could be due to the small size of the brush.

WiseShe Oval Brush 4 – Eye Brow / Liner / Smudger Brush

It is a thin brush. This brush looks just like an eyebrow brush but can also be used to apply/smudge your liner or kajal.

After Care

It is important that the brushes are cleansed properly after every use to prevent occurrence of bacteria on the brushes. I just use a gentle shampoo and a brush pad under running water to clean these cuties.  After final rinse, I put the brushes under sunlight for some time.

 

With these makeup brushes, Anamika has done great a job. She really deserves lot of applauds for bringing such high quality and useful brushes among us. The first two brushes are my favorite since they can be used in so many ways. I hope to see the final launch of the brushes soon in the market so that you guys can use them. Also it would be like icing on cake if the brushes are launched under an affordable price tag.
