L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Concealer – Fair Light : Swatches & Review

Concealers are very techie. It’s hard to find a concealer which gives crease free & smooth finishing without looking ashy or orange-ish. I generally use a concealer under my eye area to cover up my dark circles. Hardly, I ever use a concealer on my blemishes, since I feel that accentuates my blemishes and attracts attention to it. I feel Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a nice option to cover dark circles, but L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Concealer can not be ignored, which was launched few years back. I still find it very usable and workable with base or no base. Let’s talk about it in detail.

L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Concealer

Achieve flawless complexion with super blendable concealer from L’Oreal Paris. Available in 3 shades, the shade adapts the skin tone and looks natural on every skin tone. The formula is super pigmented and easy to work with. Use this concealer under your eyes, around your mouth corners and any where you want to hide discoloration.

Packaging

The concealer comes in a transparent tube with a silver colored screw-in applicator fitted at the top. It is quite a convenient packaging for a concealer no doubt. The packaging contains all the information about the product but is too fine that it’s very difficult to photograph. The concealer tub is very small and fits in the palm of my hand.

L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Concealer Shades

The concealer comes in 3 shades in India – Light, Medium & Deep. The shade selection can be little tricky sometimes, when it comes to the Indian skin tones. I feel sometimes that, the brands just don’t do justice to Indian skin tones when they release only 3 shades, pushing all the skin tones into those categories. There should be at least 6 categories to define some in between skin tones.

Shade – Fair/Light

It is kind of tricky to find a concealer for wheatish skin tone. My skin tone lies between light & medium i.e. I have a wheatish skin tone. Using a product which is meant to be used for fair skin tones, makes me look ashy. Going for a darker shade which is meant to be used on medium skin tones, definitely makes me look orange-ish.

The SA pushed me to buy the Fair/Light shade, because, it has nice yellow undertones. On my hand it looks very yellowish but under my eyes the concealer looks little white – not ashy but white due to light pigment.

Texture

The reason I bought this concealer at the first place. L’Oreal has named the product so wisely – Super Blendable. The texture of the concealer is creamy & smooth, it literally blends like a dream leaving matte & crease free finishing. I just wish this concealer had more shades to offer because the texture of this concealer is superb to work with.

It can be used on any part of your area including under your eyes, over your eyes, around your mouth etc.

Pigmentation

The pigmentation of the concealer is good. It is thick yet runny. Just one swipe gives enough coverage. Covers my moderate dark circles very well. Dab it gently and it will blend in no time. It can work on and under a foundation, just make sure to match the concealer and foundation shade.

How To Use L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Concealer?

I simply take out the applicator out of the tube and swipe under my eyes making a triangle touching my cheeks. Because, it goes little white on my skin, it works as an under eye highlighter. I blend the concealer using the tip of my ring finger. Dabbing works the best. I also sometimes use Puna Store Beauty Blender.

Eye Corner Highlighter: Since this concealer goes little bit white on my skin tone, I also use it on the corners of my eyes.

Under Eye Brightener: I pat it under my eyes to hide dark circles. But on it’s own, the concealer looks grey. Hence I use an orange corrector before putting this concealer under my eyes.

As Eye Shadow Base: L’Oreal Paris True Match Super Blendable Concealer has perfect pigmentation, hence it could be used as an eye shadow base too.

Around Mouth: Sometimes, the area around my mouth looks quite pigmented. A dab this concealer little bit, and it definitely blends beautifully into my skin.

On Acne Scars: Last but not least, this concealer, due to it’s nice texture, I can use it to cover acne scars on my face easily.

Finish

The texture of the concealer is creamy but the formula dries off quickly into a matte finish. The finish is crease less, which is very impressive.

For the first 5 minutes, my under eye area looks really white specially when I have tanned face. Later the concealer settles in without accentuating any fine lines, gives a nice even toned look to my under eye area.

More About Concealers:

Summary : 4/5

It is such a shame that the shade selection is not good. Otherwise the concealer impresses me in every field – pigmentation, texture, finish & longevity. Also the price is bit high.

Have you used this concealer? Did you manage to find your shade? Leave your comments.
