Arrggghh,, I am getting crazy here. I am getting so much confused between Maybelline Super Stay lipsticks and NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks. I am so wanting to buy some. Just not able to decide, which brand/shades I should go for?
Why should I go for Maybelline Super Stay 24Hr Colours
A lot of shades present to choose from, about 12 I guess. There is variety. All shades are so pretty. The colors could be worn in matte as well as creamy finish. They are super staying. It is cheaper than NYX newly launched lippies.
Why should I go for NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks
They are the talk of the town. The packaging is sleek and attractive. They are hydrating and gives creamy finish.
Why I am dicey about Maybelline Super Stay 24Hr Colours?
The cold evening of winters and you are wiping your lips religiously with tons of makeup remover, and still seeing stained lips. Very dreadful thought.
Why I am dicey about NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks
They are pricey. Before these lippies were launched, Maybelline Super Stay 24Hr Colours, seemed pricey. Retailing at 625 bucks, ofcourse NYX are costlier. You would say there is a difference of few bucksonly. It’s not about the difference, its about the whole 625 bucks. Maybelline Super Stay Lip Colours are being sold by Amazon on discount.
Also only 6 shades out of 12 of NYX Plush Gel Lipsticks have been launched in India. That’s so sad. Also, the reds that have been launched in India, are just so similar.
Conclusion
I have not decided yet, maybe I will get few from both the brands. But yeah, it will be like shelling out 2-3 k. A lot of budget imbalance. Will let you know.

I got NYX Pro Lip Cream Palette – The Plums instead.

The Maybelline ones stain lips a lot!! I’ve used a plum shade from the range earlier and I also found it to be drying. For summers though, I’d confidentially pick them over creme finishes, for the staying power. However, I’m also looking forward to check out the NYX plush gel lipsticks. They look great!

Hi Lancy, Glad you took time to visit my blog. Yes I too feel Maybelline Super Stay’s biggest disadvantage is they hard stains the leave behind.
NYX is promising, but I have heard it’s not that long lasting. Somewhere we have to compromise 🙂
