To start with, I am not a jewelry person. But at times, I do like to wear some junk jewelry. Most of them are street shopped. Delhi flee markets are one of the best places to shop for these funky pieces, like Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Janpath etc. You can find them at very affordable prices in these markets as compared to those high maintenance mall shops.
I also received few new pieces on my last birthday 2 weeks back. These pieces are adorable & really complete my look. Some are essential. Some of them are super classy & super chic. Some add that subtle grace. They are so hard to resist.
What Kind Of Junk Jewelry do I like? It depends on my attire, on my mood & of course the occasion. I like to wear beaded strings as well as some multi layer delicate pieces. But Oxidized pieces can not be ignored. They can funk up any look. Adding a junk piece to your neck can spice up & convert your office wear to casual wear.
Funky Fashion Jewelry Every Girl Must Own
I wear these pieces with my otherwise dull & plain clothes. They go really well with casual dressing. They can also be worn with traditional attire. You can get these pieces between 150-500 bucks depending upon the market.
One must have some colorful fashion jewelry. It is very essential part of your wardrobe. It can really take away a dull day. It can brighten up your mood and cheer up your soul.
Dull Metal Pieces
For an understated look, dull metal pieces are really nice. You can choose from dull gold, silver or copper. When you can’t go with or without jewelry, these dull pieces can complete your look.
How To Take Care Of Junk Jewelry?
- Junk pieces are not really junk. They need as much care as much you would give to your precious jewelry.
- Store them away from moisture. You can keep them in zip lock pouches or air tight clear plastic boxes.
- Do not fold them or you might break them from joints.
- Handle them with care. The pieces are very delicate as I have experienced. One of my chunky pieces keeps on breaking from the joints because it is very heavy and the small anchors can not take all the weight.
These were my current favorite junk pieces from my stash. So tell me which one you liked the most? Waiting for your lovely comments.
Will be back soon. Much Love.
