Eye cream is an essential part of the daily skincare routine. An ideal eye cream contains highly potent, moisturizing, and anti-aging ingredients. It moisturizes thin eye area, creates a protective barrier on the skin, and keeps fine lines and wrinkles away. It also minimizes the appearance of dark circles and poofs away puffiness. My major concern has always been dark circles. Lately, I started noticing fine lines under my lines, and that’s the time, I started using Forest Essentials Eye Cream With Anise.

Rs. 2600 for 15 gms. The price really stings, that too for a 15gm of product. The price is comparable to the other high-end eye creams like Clinique, Estee Lauder, etc.  This eye cream is available online as well as offline on Forest Essentials Counters.

How To Use

  1. I use it twice a day. In the morning after the shower and in the night before going to bed.
  2. After cleansing my face, I dab this eye cream gently around my eye area.
  3. Pat the eye area until it’s absorbed.
  4. The eye area should be treated gently without applying much pressure.

Ingredients

Papaya: Papaya contains the enzyme papain which gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin. The skin looks brighter, lighter, and smoother.

Packaging

Forest Essentials Eye Cream With Anise Packaging
Packaging

Forest Essentials is a luxury brand and its products also give a look and feel of the same. This eye cream is packed in a sleek glass tub with a golden lid. The packaging is really very attractive but I do not find it much practical. The tub contains another plastic lid on its mouth to avoid accidental spillage. The cream is shipped with a spatula to maintain the hygiene. I do use this spatula, to pick a little of the cream, and dot it around my eye area. Later I use my fingers to dab the cream lightly.

The packaging of the eye cream truly speaks of luxury and has a feel-good factor associated with it. But I am super cautious when I pick this glass tub. As I happen to dropped my first pack of this eye cream, as soon as I received it. It was so disheartening. Back then, it used to come in a bigger tub, but now the company has reduced the size and hiked its price.

Texture, Colour & Smell

Texture, Color, Consistency
Texture, Color, Consistency

Forest Essentials eye cream is a light textured white colored cream which gets absorbed really fast. Its scent of the cream is really mild and one really needs to sniff the cream to smell it. Otherwise one might not even smell anything.

The texture of the cream has a velvety feel and it glides on my under eye area like a dream. Since it’s lightweight, it sinks into my skin just with dabbing. TO be honest, this is one of the most lightweight creams I have come across.

My Experience with Forest Essentials Eye Cream With Anise

The reason behind my dark circles was quite obvious, lack of sleep, dehydration, and excessive use of the mobile, laptop, and TV. Not only dark circles, but I also started developing fine lines, because of the aging factor.

This eye cream has the right amount of hydration, and it proved to be very effective on fine lines as well. Actually dehydration is the first reason behind the appearance of stretched under eye area which results in fine lines and wrinkles. I use oil-free moisturizers, which on my face, so my eye area stayed drenched.

When I first used this eye cream, I could see, how relived my eye area looked. It looked relaxed, moisturized, and happy.  After using it for the first 15 days, my eye area revived. It was looking bright and fine lines were smoothened. The results were very prominent and visible.

I still it once in the morning and again by night. There is no dryness under my eyes. No stretchy feeling either. My under eye area feels really smooth and well moisturized.

I love the texture of this eye cream. Eye cream should have this texture only. Light and fast-absorbing giving out no oily residue so that it does not interfere with your eye makeup or rest of the makeup for that matter.

Over the years, I have seen this eye cream’s price being hiked from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2600. I don’t understand why Forest Essentials keeps on raising its price. It’s getting so out of my budget to use it anymore. Very sad.

Summary: 4.5

If you can afford it, Forest Essentials Eye Cream With Anise is, among the best eye creams. Brightens and smoothens under eye area within 2 weeks. The results stay as long as you keep on using it. Another plus point is the herbal composition of this eye cream. It is free from chemicals & parabens. It also does not interfere with eye makeup, rather it gives a smooth base to start with.

Oriflame Optimals Eye Cream is an affordable alternate to Forest Essentials Eye Cream. But it’s just to console myself. Nothing has worked as good as Forest Essentials Eye Cream for my under eye area.
