Coming to today’s post, I am presenting 3 Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipsticks to you, Pink Kiss P21, Code Red R33, Grape Riot W13 . Elle 18 is very popluar among teens & budget queens. This is a matte range from Elle 18 with fabulous packaging. The range is dirt cheap. Let’s get into the details.

Packaging

Comes in a round black tube with flat top. There is a cartoon of a chic printed on the cap of the lipstick with Elle 18 logo and range name on the lipstick. I like this new flat top packaging of these lipstick. This packaging make the lipsticks more classic in looks. One thing I would like to mention that I need to press the lipstick cover hard, over the bullet, to close it properly.

Texture & Smell

The texture of the lipstick is creamy matte. Since the texture is creamy hence you do not have to worry about drying out your lips due to matte lipsticks. The lipsticks have very faint chocolaty smell which is weird. But an added bonus.

Shade – Pink Kiss P21

It is a nice warm toned pink which will flatter all skin tones. It can be worn to office as well as to casual outings. It is a daily wear color.

Shade – Code Red R33

This is a very beautiful shade of red, a deep red. It looks burgundy if layered multiple times. This is a color that would suit evening outings very well.

Shade – Grape Riot W13

This is a plum lipstick from the range a nice plum. When I see Maybelline Colorshow Violet Delight, & freak out, only a nice plum lipstick can calm me down. Grape Riot perfectly suits the picture.

Pigmentation & Finish

The pigmentation of Matte Lipsticks from this range is decent. 2 swipe gives enough colour to pigmented lips. The pigmentation is build able too. Even though the range is matte but when you swipe the lipstick across, there is sheen that you notice at first. The finish is nothing sort of matte. I really get confused if I am getting an original product or not. But this thing I have noticed with all the lipsticks from the matte range of Elle 18. They are not completely utterly matte, they have some sheen to them. They are moisturizing that way. Since I like to have matte finish more, I blot my Elle 18 lipsticks little.

Longevity

If I follow the proper steps of applying perfect lipstick, they last longer on my lips. Other wise the lipsticks stay only for maximum 2-3 hours. I think that is quite expected out of a under budget lipstick.

The lipsticks bid goodbye leaving behind tinted lips.

Finish is not completely matte. Adds sheen to the finish.

I feel the Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick range is worth the price. You can experiment with a lot of shades & fun colors. It can be worn as glossy or matte, as you may like. I just wish that Elle 18 also comes up with real matte lipsticks.
